Watford 0-1 Arsenal: Lucky win, Gunners return to Top 4

Arsenal played unconvincingly on Watford’s pitch this morning. But the Gunners are still lucky to get 3 points maximum thanks to the silly mistakes and blame of the home team.

Watford: Deeney (11 ’)

Arsenal: Aubameyang (10 ‘)

Compared to the 0-1 defeat to Everton in the previous round, Unai Emery coach made 7 changes in Arsenal’s starting lineup in this match. Stars like Mesut Oezil, Alexandre Lacazette, Sead Kolasniac, Sokratis were put on the bench by Emery. However, the difference with the Gunners was created from … Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster.

On the 10th minute, Foster controlled the ball too long after returning to the home team’s defender. Aubameyang entered very quickly. Foster frantically broke up and the ball hit Aubameyang right into the empty net. 1-0 for Arsenal. The score is open to the visitors in a way no one expected.

Having been given a no-show by Foster, Arsenal continued to be given a further advantage over Watford. In the 11th minute, home team captain Troy Deeney drew an elbow to Lucas Torreira. Deeney was directly red carded by the referee.

After just over 10 minutes of rolling, the Gunners have the advantage of leading 1 goal and playing more than 1 person. Everything is too convenient for teachers and coach Emery to improve their poor away record. It is estimated that since the beginning of the 2017/18 season, only 28% of Arsenal’s points (December 35, 6) come from the away field. Arsenal are the worst away team in the Premier League Big Six.

Yet the next few minutes, the match again happened as if Arsenal did not play more than people. 10 Watford men still have a good match against Arsenal’s 11 people. The home team still creates many dangerous chances. Typically, Capoue’s free-kick went off in the 32nd minute. Luckily for Arsenal the Bernd Leno goalkeeper was brilliantly able to prevent it. The score 1-0 favored Arsenal was preserved until the end of the first half of the German goalkeeper.

In the second half, Emery coach launched Ozil into the field. Arsenal goods have more mutations in the ball. Only the last thing is finished, Ozil and his team do not do well.

Watford’s lack of squad is not enough to cause much pressure like the first half. 45 minutes of the second half so don’t witness any more situations that can make a change on the score board.

A lucky 1-0 win brought 3 points to Arsenal. The Gunners knocked Chelsea out of the Top 4 despite winning 66 points for the sub-score. With a game that is 1 match less than Chelsea and there are more than 2 points for M.U, Arsenal has the right to dream for the ambition to end the season in the Top 4.

First half is sure to win

Arsenal have maintained their unbeaten record in the last 20 games in the Premier League but they have the advantage of leading the first half. Specifically, the Gunners have won 19, drawing 1 of these matches. The last time Arsenal lost after leading the first half in October 2017, before … Watford.
